ABOUT US

Advocating for all nationalities and backgrounds

We are a non-profit and the result from years of research and field experience on ELs education around the US and abroad. Students of English as a Second Language are underserved because of a lack of knowledge and expertise. The US collects so much data and monitors ELs in many different aspects (race, ethnicity, age, primary language). This data is out there, thousands of annual reports tracking ELs. Nevertheless, they are still not reaching English Proficiency and are still a sidelined community.  Why?

Furthermore, their parents still do not have proper access to the language and, consequently, do not know much about the US Education System. As a result, ELs live a marginalized life cycle: if they graduate from High School (many drop out), they realize that their low GPA will not lead them to any scholarship. Many are not illegible to student loans. Therefore, their academic life stops at the age of 16. That leaves them to start their adult life of finding a job and working from 9 am - 5 pm. Most will be underpaid, for they lack academic skills and have a language barrier. Many understand that this is it: life will not go beyond this. Others realize that their only "choice" is to work in their own community. How will they integrate society? How will they become the face of this country? How will they have life choices?

We believe that everything starts with the education of their children and assistance to their parents.

Our commitment to ELs goes beyond American classrooms. We want to support ELs and their families academically, socially, and emotionally.

OVER THE YEARS

We will never stop fighting for equity and inclusion
